What I care about

I like software that respects the person using it: clear enough to understand, resilient when things go wrong, and considered down to the awkward states.

I’m based in London and currently work on high-performance pricing and risk systems. Outside work, I build my own products end to end: finding the problem, shaping the interaction, writing the code, and returning to the awkward parts until they make sense.

Outside work, I’m usually reading, watching films, training, following football, or turning one of those interests into another small data problem.

A short path here

The thread through all of it.

How do you make complicated things easier to understand?
  1. 01

    Earlier

    Data and marketing

I started in marketing, close to data, experiments, and the question of why one experience earns attention while another loses it.
  2. 02

    Then

    AI model training

Training and evaluating code for language models made precision matter in a different way. A plausible answer was never enough if the reasoning or code did not hold up.
  3. 03

    Now

    Software engineering

Today I build high-performance pricing and risk software in C#, alongside personal products in TypeScript and Python. The common thread is making complicated behaviour easier to reason about.

Outside the editor

A few other ways I measure a week.

  • 01Lift

    Strength, repetition, patience.

  • 02Run

    Distance and a clearer head.

  • 03Muay Thai

    Technique under pressure.

  • 04Football

    Watching, arguing, modelling.

  • 05Reading

Stories and ideas kept within reach.

  • 06History

Patterns, people, and the details that stay useful.

Have a complex problem worth making simpler?

Let’s talk.
